    Reservations

  • Dewakan is an intimate restaurant and as such, we can accommodate tables up to a maximum of six guests in our dining room. Tables larger than six may reserve our Private Dining Room.
  • Single diners, may not be placed in the main dining room.
  • At Dewakan Restaurant we take reservations for dinner up to 30 days in advance.
  • How Do I Make A Reservation?

  • Reservations may only be made online at www.dewakan.my/#reservation
  • We are unable to take reservations via Instagram, Facebook or Telephone.
  • We do not accept American Express or Debit Cards for online reservations requests.
  • Restaurant Deposit and Cancellation

  • Dewakan is an intimate restaurant and as such, our continued sustainability relies heavily on reservations being honoured by our customers or adequate notice being given of any changes to plans or arrangements.
  • Dinner for 1-6 people in our Dining Room
  • Credit Card details are required to guarantee the table. The Credit Card will be pre-authorised to the amount of RM 200 per pax. The pre-authorisation is not a charge and no funds will be debited from your card. Unless a cancellation is made less than 48 hours notice and/or in the event of a no show we will charge RM 200 per pax to the card number.
  • Private Dining Room Deposit and Cancellation

    Dinner for up to 8 guests
  • For Private Dining Room reservations please submit the Special Reservations Request. Please note there is a 1000 MYR Supplementary Room Charge for the private Dining Room. A Deposit of 50% is required to secure a PDR reservation. Your Deposit of 50% is refundable with 4 days’ notice of cancellation. Your 50% Deposit is Non-refundable in the event of a no-show or cancellation with less than 72 hours notice. We will charge 200 MYR per pax for any drop in guest numbers.
  • This Deposit will offset any lost revenue as a result of turning other bookings away.
  • How Do I Cancel My Reservation?

  • Cancellations may only be made electronically by using the details provided in your electronic confirmation message. Should you have any questions please contact us and we can talk you through the process.
  • Tasting Menu

  • We ask all parties & guests (either in our main restaurant or private dining room) to remember we serve one set Tasting menu for the whole table. This Tasting Menu will be served to the entire table and charged per pax. We will, of course, do our best to cater for anyone with special dietary requirements, with at least 72 hours notice.
  • Allergies & Dietary Information

  • We are able to make accommodations for certain common dietary restrictions with at least 72 hours notice. Please notify us in advance of your visit if there are any dietary allergies or intolerances.  All Dewakan dishes are prepared “a la minute” therefore our team will confirm the kitchens modifications with you on the day.  Your safety and enjoyment are our top priority, however we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination, since the majority of our ingredients are wild & we have one kitchen only.
  • What Happens If I Am Running Late?

  • Contact us if you are running late. Please note that arriving more than 20 minutes late may result in Dewakan having to adapt your experience due to time constraints. We recommend allowing three hours for your meal with us.
  • Photography

  • Guests are kindly advised that, if you wish to take a discreet photo please refrain from using any flash and kindly respect the privacy of others.
  • Cakes

  • You are welcome to bring your own celebration cake, however please check with us in advance so we can try to allocate adequate storage in our fridges. Please be advised that we cannot guarantee to have fridge space available for all cakes.
  • Firework Sparkling Candles cannot be used in the restaurant due to the sensitivity of our Fire Prevention Equipment.
  • Mobile Phones

  • The use of mobile phones should be restricted & discreet in the dining room.
  • As we are on the 48th Floor please be prepared for a weaker than usual signal.
  • Dress Code

  • Our restaurant dress code is “elegantly smart”.  We do not require gentlemen to wear jacket and tie but please note that long trousers for gentlemen are compulsory.  We do not permit open toed shoes. Entry to the restaurant is entirely at the management’s discretion if this customary guidance is not embraced.
  • Decorations

  • We do not allow decorations on our tables as this will interrupt the dining experience.
  • Children

  • Our restaurant is not suitable for children due in part to the length of the meal (around three hours) and potential disruption to the other guests dining the same evening. Any young Adults wishing to dine are welcomed and will receive the same tasting menu as the rest of the table.
  • Corkage

  • We offer carefully selected and curated juice & wine pairings to accompany each menu. In addition, we offer an a la carte selection of Wine by the bottle, and a personal selection of beer and sake. Our team is always happy to discuss your wine selection the evening you dine.
  • Naturally we do allow gifts of outside Wines, Champagnes & Sake on special occasions.

    Animals

  • Animals are not accepted unless assisting guests with visual disabilities.
  • Mobility Restrictions & Disabilities

  • Dewakan is located on the 48th floor. The restaurant is accessible for wheelchair users, but our toilet facilities can be awkward for wheelchair dependants.
  • We are happy to prearrange for a large print menu to be provided, and we are always on hand to talk guests through our tasting menu.  Please let us know in advance to avoid any confusion.
  • Event/Exclusive Use

  • Dewakan is available for boutique events up to 36 guests. Please email hi@dewakan.my at least two months in advance to ensure you get the best availability.
  • A minimum spend of 25,000 MYR does apply & 50% Deposit is required to confirm the reservation date. Balance of 50% is required prior to arrival.  Any extras will be billed on the night and paid separately.
  • Waiting List

  • Please be advised that cancellations and last minute availability are rare so it is best to make alternative arrangements. If you wish to add your details our waiting list is available at www.dewakan.my/#reservation

Reservations at Dewakan
  1. Reservations are only available through the reservation platform on our website.
  2. Dewakan operates on a CREDIT CARD pre-authorisation payment system. A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of RM 200 on a credit card that is provided upon booking. The pre-authorisation is not a charge and no funds have been debited from your account.
  3. The booking system does not accept DEBIT CARDS.
  4. Kindly acknowledge any dietary restrictions in the party when reserving. We may be able to cater to some restrictions given advanced notice of 3 days.
  5. Your reservation is not confirmed until you have completed the booking form and receive a confirmation code.
  6. The earliest you may book a table is 30 days in advance.
  7. Our restaurant is not suitable for children due in part to the length of the meal (around three hours) and potential disruption to the other guests dining the same evening. Any young adults wishing to dine are welcomed and will receive the same tasting menu as the rest of the table.
  8. Single diners may not be placed in the main dining room.
  9. Reservations may be modified or adjusted to meet Government Guidelines.
Private Dining Room at Dewakan
  1. Our private dining room is ideal for up to 8 guests.
  2. A supplementary fee of RM 1000 is incurred for the use of the room. (Food & Beverage is charged separately, as per consumption).
  3. For reservations please submit the Special Reservations Request
  4. A 50% deposit will be collected to confirm the booking.
  5. The earliest you may book a table is 30 days in advance.
  6. Our restaurant is not suitable for children due in part to the length of the meal (around three hours) and potential disruption to the other guests dining the same evening. Any young adults wishing to dine are welcome and will receive the same tasting menu as the rest of the table.
Booking of Dewakan Restaurant
  1. For booking the restaurant for private events please email hi@dewakan.my.
  2. A minimum of 2 months are required from the date of event to book the restaurant. Confirmation of booking the restaurant is subject to availability.
  3. The restaurant can accommodate a maximum of 36 guests.
  4. A 50% deposit will be collected to confirm the booking.
Cancellation Policy
  1. Cancellations for confirmed bookings must be done 48 hours before the dining date/time, or we reserve the right to charge your pre-authorised credit card RM200 per pax.
  2. Cancellations must be done either online via the link provided in the confirmation email, email or via phone.  
  3. By submitting a reservation, you agree to the terms and conditions set out by the Cancellation Policy.
