RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

Reservations at Dewakan
  1. Dewakan requires a credit card guarantee to secure reservations. Your credit card will NOT be charged now. However, in the event of cancellation of less than 24 hours before the reservation day or no show, Dewakan reserves the right to charge your credit card RM870 nett per guest.  Please note that changing the reservation date after the cancellation deadline constitutes as a late cancellation and will be liable to the applicable cancellation charges.
  2. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure reservations for 6 guests and above.
  3. Kindly acknowledge any dietary restrictions or allergies in the party when making reservations. We are unable to accommodate to last minute dietary changes. Changes to the menu is at the discretion of the restaurant and requires a minimum 72-hour notice. Some dietary adjustments may have additional charges, please contact us at hi@dewakan.my for more information.
  4. Your reservation is not confirmed until you have completed the booking form and receive a confirmation email.
  5. Our restaurant is not suitable for children due in part to the length of the meal and potential disruption to the other guests dining the same evening. Any young adults wishing to dine are welcomed and will receive the same tasting menu as the rest of the table.
  6. The ideal experience at Dewakan is approximately 150 minutes long, due to a limited number of tables, we insist that all reservations are on time as we would need the tables at 8:45pm for a second seating.
  7. Reservations for 1 guest is subject to availability, please contact us at hi@dewakan.my to make your reservation.

  1. Our Private Dining Room is ideal for up to 8 guests.
  2. The Private Dining Room has a minimum spend of RM5,000.

Booking of Dewakan Restaurant
  1. For booking the restaurant for private or boutique events, please email hi@dewakan.my.
  2. Confirmation of booking the restaurant is subject to availability and upon collecting of a deposit.
  3. The restaurant can accommodate a maximum of 36 seated guests comfortably.
  4. Please contact us for additional terms and conditions.
Cancellation Policy
  1. ·Cancellations for confirmed bookings must be done 24 hours before the dining day. Dewakan reserves the right to charge your credit card RM870 per guest for all last-minute cancellations.
  2. ·Changing the reservation date after the cancellation deadline constitutes as a late cancellation and will be liable to the applicable cancellation charges.
  3. Cancellations must be done either by email or via phone.
  4. Covid-19 Cancelation Policy: As an effort to eliminate food wastage, if you have been in close contact with an infected person, please inform us in advance. Cancellations due to COVID-19 within 24-hours of the reservation constitutes a last-minute cancellation and will be charged a cancellation fee.
  5. By submitting a reservation, you agree to the terms and conditions set out by the Cancellation Policy.
  6. Deposits or pre-payments are non-refundable.

    How Do I Make A Reservation?

  • The best way to make a reservation is online at www.dewakan.my/#reservation

  • How Do I Cancel or Change My Reservation?

  • Please contact us at hi@dewakan.my to make changes or cancel your reservation.
  • Tasting Menu

  • We ask all parties & guests to remember we serve one set Tasting Menu for the whole table. This Tasting Menu will be served to the entire table and charged per guest. We will, of course, do our best to cater for anyone with special dietary requirements, with at least 72 hours notice.
  • Allergies & Dietary Information

  • We are able to make accommodations for certain common dietary restrictions with at least 72 hours notice. Please notify us in advance if you have dietary allergies or intolerances - we can then advise you on the best course of action.
  • All Dewakan dishes are prepared “a la minute” therefore our team will confirm the kitchen's modifications with you on the day.  
  • Your safety and enjoyment are our top priority, however we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination, since the majority of our ingredients are wild & we have one kitchen only.
  • What Happens If I Am Running Late?

  • Contact us if you are running late. Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in Dewakan having to adapt your experience due to time constraints. We recommend allowing 150 minutes for your meal with us.
  • Photography

  • Guests are kindly advised that, if you wish to take a discreet photo, please refrain from using any flash and kindly respect the privacy of others.
  • Cakes

  • You are welcome to bring your own celebration cake, however, please check with us in advance so we can try to allocate adequate storage in our fridge. Please be advised that we cannot guarantee to have fridge space available for all cakes.
  • Firework Sparkling Candles cannot be used in the restaurant due to the sensitivity of our Fire Prevention Equipment.
  • Mobile Phones

  • The use of mobile phones should be restricted & discreet in the dining room.
  • As we are on the 48th Floor please be prepared for a weaker than usual signal.
  • Dress Code

  • Our restaurant dress code is “elegantly smart”.  We do not require gentlemen to wear jacket and tie but please note that long trousers for gentlemen are compulsory.  We do not permit open toed shoes. Entry to the restaurant is entirely at the management’s discretion if this customary guidance is not embraced.
  • Decorations

  • We do not allow decorations in the restaurant as this would interrupt the dining experience.
  • Children

  • Our restaurant is not suitable for children due in part to the length of the meal (around three hours) and potential disruption to the other guests dining the same evening. Any young adults wishing to dine are welcomed and will receive the same tasting menu as the rest of the table.
  • Corkage

  • We offer carefully selected and curated non-alcoholic & alcoholic pairings to accompany our menu. In addition, we offer an a la carte selection of wine by the bottle, and a personal selection saké. Our team is always happy to discuss your wine selection the evening you dine.
  • Naturally, you are welcome to bring your own alcohol, please find the applicable corkage fees below:

    Animals

  • Animals are not accepted unless assisting guests with visual disabilities.
  • Mobility Restrictions & Disabilities

  • Dewakan is located on the 48th floor. The restaurant is accessible for wheelchair users, but our toilet facilities can be awkward for wheelchair dependents.
  • We are happy to prearrange for a large print menu to be provided, and we are always on hand to talk guests through our tasting menu.  Please let us know in advance to avoid any confusion.
  • OPENING HOURS

  • Dewakan is open for dinner service on Monday to Saturday from 6pm until closing.
  • Waiting List
